Just got here

When did this get here? hmm.

So everyone is doing it. Doing what? Blogging. I figured it was high time I started one. I hope to use this a lot, and post my comings and goings in the photography world.

I can start with this one I suppose:

I recently went to an Art House Opening at 126 West Crystal (2590 South) . My friend Eliza Wren was playing and I wanted to see her play for the first time. Yes yes, I have taken her photo’s a few times, but this was the first time I got to see her live. She puts on a good show!

The art show was great, I wanted to spend more time looking, but I had my 2 year old son with me. I had to be in and out of the rooms fairly quickly so he didn’t have a chance to cause too many problems.

The ones that impressed me most, and you must forgive me because I can’t remember the artists names, were:

A sculptor who had Hollywood sculptures of creatures, and popular movie characters. He is very talented, and his artistry was suburb.

The other was a photoshop artist. He would take pictures of smaller things, and put them together into a larger pictures. One was called “Noodley Appendages”, which had a pictures of a squid. It was sepia toned, grainy, and looked realistic. Others had a robot in a city, Godzilla motif.

My son had a great time, and we took some pictures under a streetlamp. Even though I was using a 1.8 lens, it was still hard to get enough light.
