La Caille Bridal Show Banner Creation

We’ve undertaken a huge project to showcase at the La Caille Bridal show this year.  While brain storming on what do print for banners, images, or signage I had a friend Carla come over to discuss what she could do to help out.  Not only did we talk about the La Caille Bridal show, but future art project plans I had in store for myself.  I had not connected the art project to the Bridal booth mentally, so she did it for me.

HP has some paper call Vivid Back-lit paper, this paper is meant to be lite from the back to illuminate the image.  Think those silver movie poster boxes that have lights in them at the movie theatre.  So I ordered a roll of 42″ of this great stuff.

I was able to get some 8 1/2 x 11 sample pieces and printed off a few copies of the image I’ll be using.  Things were going great until I took a sample piece to the frame store.  They didn’t know how we could mount this without it buckling everywhere and giving away over time.  After brainstorming we came up with an elegant solution of mounting it on clear plastic then mounting it to the frame.

Boom! 42×60 back-lit picture and framed to boot!

Then we get the new issue of Rangefinder.  In this issue they were discussing the really cool stuff at the most recent WPPI convention.  One thing that stole the show was LED back-lit pictures mounted on clear plexi-glass … exactly what we’re doing!  Great minds think alike?

Be sure to stop by our booth to check out our 42×60 backlit image … its going to be impressive.
