No you’re not seeing double, it is the same girl from the family post I just posted. Alyssa was looking to do some make-up Bridal Photography … she just wasn’t happy with her first set. She wanted to do something creative , unique and editorial.
I’ve done these before, engagement, bridal, or even wedding make-up sessions. They weren’t happy with their first photographer and wanted to really get some good images for their walls, albums, or just for themselves. Often times these couples had their family member or a photographer new to weddings take their pictures to save some money instead of hiring a professional wedding photographer. I always tell everyone, you don’t have to hire me, but hire a professional … you’ll be much happier in the long run.
So we decided on shooting it in the office she works in. While this type of setting is not for everyone, it was a lot of fun. There was a lot of things we could work with from copiers, vending machines, and office cubical.
I must admit it made me rethink how to shoot a bridal, and how we could put a high fashion, or editorial twist on the images. I kept my lighting simple with either a single light, or a single light with an emphasis light to draw the eye. This seemed to work very well for what we were doing.
Alyssa’s a hard worker and she was laughing as if she was such a hard worker, she ran into the office right before her wedding to get some work done.
I love these! She is so glamorous and the contrast between the everyday location and her beauty makes it all the more striking. Bravo!
Love these wedding dresses as well as the pictures. Beautiful!
