The Recession Project :: Cox Family :: Utah Family Photographer

The Cox family contacted me with a phone call.  They don’t have the internet right now because they can’t afford it.  They have a 3 year old son and have never had their family portrait taken.  Just last week her husband had finally found a job after being out of work for 3 months.  Previously he worked at a towing company, but instead of laying off employees they cut the amount of jobs they gave out until the employees quit.  He had been working since and just got a position with a trucking company.

They’re excited to have him working, but he will be away from home a lot.  Jenni has been out of work for a year now.  She has enjoyed staying home with her son, but the extra income was always a huge help.  When she applies for jobs its always understood that she is 1 of hundreds that applied.  This is of course on the first day the ad was placed in the paper or on the internet.

Their joblessness has thrown their bills into past due, turned off some utility services, and since his mom owns the house has put added strain on her financial situation.  However they have learned to communicate better, manage their money more efficiently and have gained a stronger bond with their friends and family.

If you would like to help this family out please contact me and I can pass on their information.

I really like the whole retro look to this. It looks to me like some of the pictures in our family albums taken in the ’60s. Excellent work
