The Recession Project :: Romero Family :: Utah Family Photographer

I was contacted by Jazmine’s mother-in-law.  She has a two year old daughter they’ve been dying to have photographed.  Her kids and grandchild live with her and they both have been out of a job for more than 1 year.  Kari [grandma] had previously worked for a trucking company when they had large lay-offs.  Since then she has been applying for work but was injured in a car accident and so has not been able to apply to many jobs she would of worked previously.

Jazmine is a young mother and not much work experience.  She did work at the University but they too had to cut back on staff and she has been out of work since.  Her husband does have a job, but his paycheck needs to help out everyone in the home.

Their daughter is a cutie and a sweet heart.  Of course she wouldn’t sit still when I had my camera pointed at her but when it was down she would keep still.  Yes, the life of a two year old.  I didn’t mind I had my voice activated lightstand her mom point the flash at her.  Easy Peasy.

Kari has been frustrated and fought with depression over the  year.  She’s frustrated because she had previously helped a lot of friends and family out in the past, but they are unable/unwilling to return the favor.  She has enjoyed the time she’s been able to spend with her granddaughter, but it has been overshadowed by her needing an income and bills mounting.

If you would like to help out this family please contact me for their information.
